Blackberry’s new DTEK50
Blackberry announced their new phone as “the world’s most secure smartphone”. In fact, the phone is a regular Alcatel Idol4 with a custom Android OS.
Blackberry decline began when they decided to abandon their OS and ignored the public demand for the their business solution which was successful.
Blackberry decline began when they decided to abandon their operating system and ignored the public demand for the solution business that launched it and with which were successful.Balckberry is recognized for phones with keyboard and that is mainly targeted at the business sector that needs serious terminals, mainly strong and secure reliable.Perhaps in their view they wanted to be part of the boom of new technologies and consumerist (see Apple, Samsung, HTC, LG and so on) but ignored the exact customers who appreciated and used their services and who were not few and being ignored.
With what is a Blackberry DTEK50 bigger than a Samsung Galaxy S7? With nothing. For a business customer those are two phones with Android. There is no magic in DTEK50 Blackberry.
A normal customer wants bling-bling, the latest technology, but can do without it immediately, but a business customer who form an ecosystem around the terminal’s can not miss even so easy technology they can trust.
Perhaps the pursuit of money and fame led to what now compare with a leap into the void without a parachute and hope that someone comes out of nowhere and saves you … which is almost impossible to happen.
What do you think about DTEK50?
Disappointed of Blackberry’s vision.
