iPhone 7 – what’s new?
Apple unveiled yesterday the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus and now Apple and Samsung are level at launched model (Note 7, Galaxy S7 =iPhone 7) :))
Let’s see what’s new:
Mainly, the same design. Same shape and weight. Only antenna lines are now on the edge making a more clear look for the back.
Also, they introduced new set of colors: classic silver, rose gold, black (a mate one), and jet black (glossy). About the jet black, rumors are that is very-very scratchy. Apple says that it is the same nine-step anodized material, but due to glossy look scratches may appear and you may consider using a case (wtf?).
New capacitive home button with force touch and 3d touch feedback. This replaces the old push-button.
IP67 dust and water proof certification. That means that the phone can resist on 1m deep water for 30 minutes. BTW, despite of IP67 certification, Apple warranty doesn’t cover water-caused problems (wtf?!).
2GB of ram for 7 and 3GB 7 plus model.
New A10 chip processor with 4 cores at 2.4 GHz and Fusion technology. A10 has needs less energy and it’s 4 times faster than A8. It does have integrated GPS, accelerometer and gyro.
New graphic processor, 50% more faster and with 2/3 energy consumption than A9.
Battery. The only thing that Apple says is that the new models have the best autonomy of all iPhones. We will wait for a tear-down to see if they changed the battery (probably not).
For 7, new 12 mpx camera with image stabilization and f/1.8 aperture. Apple says that the new sensor also needs 30% less energy and is 60% faster than the old one.
Front camera has 7 mpx with software image stabilization for better selfies and video calls.
The new image processor is capable of 1 billion operations in 25 ms. That is fast.
For 7 plus, dual camera 12 mpx on each. New feature is 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. Also, the 2 cameras can make wide photos, and camera software allow you to make 3d maps of environment trough some AI scripts.
One camera has 28 mm lens and the other has 58mm lens. That makes 2x optic zoom possible.
4k at 60fps video recording option.
Quad led flash with blink sensor.
No classic headphone jack!!! Apple give you a lightning-to-jack adapter to use for included headphones. BTW, this one is $9 because it will be easy-to-lose 🙂
They also launched their new AirPods which are wireless earphones, with infrared sensor incorporated for detecting when you are using them. Now we have to charge headphones too. Actually, the design is exactly like normal earbuds, but with no wire. Also very easy to lose. Apple sells them for “only” $160. And they’re not included in box.
Stereo speaker sound on 7 and 7 plus. One of the speakers is on the old place – bottom of the phone – and the other in the earpiece, for front-facing sound.
Apple is not moving displays to OLED. They’re exactly the same as the last version of iPhone and maybe this is a minus for them.
iOS 10 launch date is on September, 13.
More rumors than ever were confirmed this year about the new iPhone. Some of you are disappointed and some are very excited about this one. We think that we should wait a couple of months to see the real reviews from daily users because we saw in past (see Note 7) that usability is a total different thing than on-paper specs witch all look perfect.https://spotlightelectronics.com/mobile/iphone-7-whats-new/https://i0.wp.com/spotlightelectronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/iphone7lineup.jpg?fit=800%2C677&ssl=1https://i0.wp.com/spotlightelectronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/iphone7lineup.jpg?fit=150%2C127&ssl=1MobileNewsapple,ios 10,iphone 7Apple unveiled yesterday the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus and now Apple and Samsung are level at launched model (Note 7, Galaxy S7 =iPhone 7) :)) Let's see what's new: Design Mainly, the same design.
